I saw this small, colorful butterfly this morning as I was going to get the garbage can...Ran back in and grabbed the camera. I have photograph similar ones, but mislabeled them on the blog. I know now that it's an American Lady butterfly..
I had thought it to be a Painted Lady before, but seeing the underside of the wing identified it as the American Lady. Love that salmon patch and the "eyes".... Beautiful!
