I'm so happy that butterflies are back! I've got several plants they like now growing and blooming. This morning, I noticed some activity around the butterfly bushes and ran in to grab the camera.
This was a butterfly I haven't seen. It was smaller than a Gulf Frilliary, so I looked it up at the Butterflies and Moths site. To the best of my knowledge it's an American Lady. I thought it could have been a Painted Lady, but after checking the sizes, it best fit the American Lady.
This one was easier to identify - its a Tawny-edge Skipper.
Still trying to find a name for this small butterfly. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate knowing it's name.
