Spying Springtime

My neighbor's pear tree is blooming - mine isn't....it waits until March. I don't know why....maybe because it's out in the open expanse of the yard and hers is close to a privacy fence?? Gets more radiant heat?? It is lovely anyway...

Across both our yards are these tiny, tiny little purple flowers....According to Liz - knower of all things gardening...are called "small bluets"

....and in my yard, there's the vetch in bloom. ** Not vetch, says Liz...it's an edible weed called "henbit"

Daffodils are brightening the beds....


....soon we'll have to mow the lawn! Ack!
