The Hummers Are Back

The feeder is out and there is a constant flurry of activity on the front porch with the hummers battling over who has the right to drink at the feeder. Here's the current "owner" after having driven off that upstart.

Every morning, there is a new battle for the daily ownership. I know people who have 3 or 4 hummers happily feeding at one time at their feeders... but not around here.

My neighbor and I put our several feeders - one in front and one in back - but still there is one bird that thinks it owns them all!

I've only seen what I supposed to be a parent and offspring both sit at the feeder.
