My garlic patch is blooming. It's not the kind of garlic that makes those bulbs that you buy at the store. It's has a very mild flavor and you chop up the lower stems like green onions instead. It's really quite nice.
This time of year, the head opens revealing an allium - type cluster of flowers.
Sometimes they look like they are wearing a cap, sometimes the cover is thrown off to the side.
The patch sits along the side of my walking path.... unfortunately, to Ozzie it's a place to leave his "mark". Eeewww!
It rained last night and a trailing vine looks like it's strung with water diamonds.
