After two years of cold springs, my amarillos are making a comeback and putting on a show!
This variety is one called Milk and Honey. All the bulbs I have came from one bulb given to me by a neighbor when we first moved here. That's been since 1975. It's had lots of offspring since then and have populated my other neighbors yards as well.
I bought this plant thinking it was a bearded iris... obviously,it isn't, but it blooms only once in the spring and it's mighty pretty, if I say so myself.
The red amarillos haven't bloomed in two years.... this year they are making up for it.
