Dog River Park

Today, I went over to Naomi and Gene's house to do Jaxon's nails and visit a bit. After I left their house, it was such a lovely day, I went on down Navco Rd to Dog River Park to have a look see. It's been a long time since I've been there.

They have a nice boat launch area and there were plenty of trucks and empty trailers about, so the fishermen were out having a nice Saturday. The usual gulls were hanging about, the fish were jumping and there were kids and families enjoying the swings.
This shot is looking east from the boat launch area. A couple is setting out in a canoe.

The park is set in a bend, so this shot is looking back towards the main part of the river, which is south of the park.

Over by the truck parking, I saw this killdeer wading in a puddle.

A parting shot of the canoers and the residential side of the river.

It looks so beautiful there, peaceful and serene. I wouldn't mind being there right about now :-) And the killdeer is a lovely photo.

Visiting from Camera Critters.
