I was on my way to the mailbox and saw two big butterflies around my butterfly bush. Sure is an apt name, isn't it?) I raced back for my camera and caught these two photos. The one above is an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail.
This one is a Gulf Frilliary. I thought this angle with it's silvery sides showing was quite beautiful.

Those are beautiful photos! We planted two Butterfly Bushes this year and they're already almost as tall as me. We have oodles of butterflies this year too. Perhaps because folks have cut down on the pestisides.
We also have dogs: 2 mini schnauzers, 1 boxer. They're our 'babies'. :o)
